Why DashDesk

Built around the moderator's day

Answering is the easy part. These three things make the rest easy too.

One organised inbox for the whole team

Every WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger chat in one place, shared fairly: each new conversation goes to the least-loaded moderator on shift, and nobody answers the same customer twice.

  • Routing by shift, load and keywords
  • Live viewing and typing indicators
  • Whisper notes the customer never sees

From "how much?" to a confirmed order

The assistant collects the details, reads the order back and asks the customer to confirm — twice — before anything is placed. Cancellations are handled with a reason, never silently.

  • Item, quantity, name, address and payment captured from the chat
  • Double confirmation before an order goes out
  • Shopify catalogue sync (beta)

AI that takes the routine, not the decisions

Every message is classified by intent, confidence and sentiment. The AI answers only what your rules allow, and hands the rest to a person with a two-line summary of what the customer wants.

  • Intent allow-list and confidence floor
  • Automatic handover on complaints
  • A cap on AI turns before a person steps in

One workspace, three jobs

What each person on the team gets

  • The moderator

Opens the chat that has waited longest, sees the customer's history and the AI's two-line summary, replies with a slash command or an approved template, and confirms the order without leaving the thread.

  • The team leader

Watches the live dashboard, sets shifts and routing rules, reassigns a conversation that is stuck, and reads the activity log to see who did what.

  • The business owner

Connects the channels once, decides how far the AI may go, sees response times and conversation volume, and pays a local price in their own currency.

Everything included

The tools behind the moderator

Built for teams that sell and support over chat, not for a 500-seat contact centre.

  • Unified inbox

WhatsApp Business, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger and web chat in one split-screen view.

  • AI triage

Intent, confidence and sentiment on every inbound message, plus automatic tags.

  • AI auto-reply

Off until you switch it on, then limited by rules you control.

  • Handover summary

Two lines — what the customer wants and what to do next — the moment a person takes over.

  • Order capture

Details collected from the chat, read back, and confirmed twice before an order is placed. Shopify in beta.

  • Cancellations with a reason

A customer can cancel at any point; the reason is asked for and recorded, never skipped.

  • Whisper notes

Internal notes inside the chat that the customer can never see.

  • Collision detection

See who else is viewing or typing before you press send.

  • Shift-based routing

Chats go to the least-loaded moderator who is online and on shift, or by keyword and intent rules.

  • WhatsApp templates

Re-open a conversation after the 24-hour window with an approved template, right from the composer.

  • Number health alerts

Meta's quality drops, restrictions and ban warnings shown on the channel before they cost you the number.

  • Slash commands

/order, /menu and more, filled from templates or from your own endpoint.

  • Attachments and voice notes

Send and receive images, voice notes and documents, stored privately.

  • Live team dashboard

Open conversations, response times and who is handling what, for the team leader.

  • Five languages, right-to-left

Arabic, English, German, French and Spanish, in the app and on the site.

  • Works on the phone

The whole inbox works on a phone or tablet, for moderators who are not at a desk.

  • Custom domains

Serve the app from help.yourshop.com with DNS verification.

  • Isolated workspaces

Each workspace's data is separated by row-level security in the database, not just in the interface.

How it works

From sign-up to the first closed order

  1. Connect your channels

Link Facebook for Messenger and Instagram in one click, or follow the guided WhatsApp steps, and finish with a live credential test.

  2. Invite the team and set the rules

Add moderators, set shifts, and choose what the AI may answer and when it must hand over.

  3. Answer, confirm, close

Moderators work one organised inbox while the routine replies and order details are handled for them.

A note from the founder

Why DashDesk exists

We are DashDesk. We are not another CRM. We built a platform for the people who do the real work of a chat business — the moderators — and we want to make that job as good as it can be.

Replying to a message is easy. Closing an order or a deal is the hard part. DashDesk makes both easy: it organises every conversation, simplifies every step from the first question to the confirmed order, and makes all of it available and affordable for every business, starting here in Egypt.

In short

DashDesk is not another CRM. It is the workspace for the people who answer your customers — moderators, sales and support — on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger. It puts every chat in one organised inbox, lets AI take the routine replies within limits you set, and walks each conversation from the first question to a confirmed order, so the team spends its time on the part that is actually hard: closing. Free for 2 people; paid plans start at $29 a month, with local prices in Egypt.

What is DashDesk?

DashDesk is a workspace built around the moderator's job: answering customers on chat and turning those conversations into orders. It connects WhatsApp Business, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger and a web chat to one shared inbox, splits the work across the team by shift and load, and lets AI answer the repetitive messages and collect order details — within rules you control.

A moderator's day is not "reply to messages". It is: find the chat that is waiting longest, remember what this customer asked yesterday, quote the right price, collect a name and an address, confirm, and not lose the order when the customer goes quiet for an hour. DashDesk is designed around that sequence, step by step.

Roles are enforced in the database, not hidden in the interface: an Admin owns billing and channel connections, a Team Leader sees the live dashboard and routing, and an Agent sees the inbox.

Is DashDesk a CRM?

No. DashDesk keeps a profile on every customer — contact details, tags, notes and order history — because a moderator needs it to close, not because the product is a database of contacts. The centre of DashDesk is the conversation and the order, not the record.

CRMs are built for managers who report on a pipeline. DashDesk is built for the person typing the reply: one thread per customer per channel, the history beside it, and the next step — price, details, confirmation — in front of them.

How does DashDesk help close orders, not just answer?

The assistant collects the item, quantity, name, address and payment preference from the conversation, reads a summary back to the customer, and asks for a confirmation before anything is placed — and a second one before the order goes out. A customer who changes their mind can cancel, and is asked why. Moderators see the same summary on screen and can take over at any point.

Order capture works with a connected Shopify catalogue, which is still in beta. Without it, moderators take the order by hand from the same screen, with the customer's details and history beside the chat.

Which channels does DashDesk connect, and is my WhatsApp number safe?

WhatsApp Business through Meta's official Cloud API, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger, and a web chat widget for your site. DashDesk never uses WhatsApp Web, QR codes or unofficial clients — the tools that actually get numbers banned — and it warns you on the channel page when Meta flags your number's quality or restricts the account.

Outside WhatsApp's 24-hour window, moderators re-open the conversation with an approved template from the composer instead of having the message refused.

The Free plan connects one channel, Starter two, and Growth and Scale all of them.

Who is DashDesk for?

Shops and service businesses whose customers order on chat — typically two to fifteen moderators handling a few hundred to a few thousand conversations a month across WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger. It is built in Egypt and priced for it, then for Europe.

It fits best where the same small team answers everything: a clothing brand selling through Instagram DMs, a bakery taking WhatsApp orders from two branches, an agency running moderation for several client pages.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan costs nothing, includes 2 seats, 1 connected channel, AI triage and 200 conversations a month. It is permanent, not a trial, and no card is needed.
Can several moderators answer one WhatsApp number?
Yes. That is the core of DashDesk. The number is connected once through Meta's official API and every moderator answers from their own account, with live viewing and typing indicators so two people never send the same reply.
Will my WhatsApp number get banned?
DashDesk only uses Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform, which does not ban numbers for using it. Bans come from spam and from customers blocking or reporting a number. DashDesk shows Meta's quality and restriction warnings on the channel page so you can act before it gets that far.
Is DashDesk a CRM?
No. It keeps customer profiles and order history because moderators need them to close, but DashDesk is a workspace for answering and closing on chat, not a contact database.
Does DashDesk work in Arabic?
Yes. The AI triages and replies in the language the customer writes in, including Egyptian Arabic, and the website and the app are available in Arabic, English, German, French and Spanish, right-to-left included.
How long does setup take?
About ten minutes for the first channel: create a workspace, link Facebook for Messenger and Instagram or follow the WhatsApp steps, choose what the AI may answer, and invite your team.

Reply fast. Close the order. Same screen.
